Treehouse Chapter

Like most kids, I grew up climbing trees and singing songs in them. but,
It wasnt until I was 20 that I got to have a real tree house. In college, I lived at the House of Rock with some amazing girls. This tree house was in the front yard. We loved it. We spent many nights up in it laughing, singing, eating, talking about boys and life and what we were going to be when we grew up. This week I drove past and thought I'd see if I could go up and take some photos. I knocked on the door to see if anyone would mind. they thought I was strange but said it was fine.



To be honest, I was nervous. Im a big girl now. and the house was a little more dilapidated. But I made it up. and had a special little moment to myself.
I thought about who I was when I first got to be in this little house. I remembered sitting on the edge of a branch watching the fireworks all by myself on the 4th of July 7 years ago. I was supposed to meet up with friends but decided to climb the tree instead. A few weeks later I climbed the tree again after my mom had told me that she thought it would be best if I moved home. She and my family were going to need me. She didnt tell me why but I knew she had a secret. I sat up in the tree and knew that it was the end of an era. When I moved home, I moved on to a new chapter in my life. But I will always remember my tree house chapter. it was the most carefree and one of the happiest times of my life.

I have a new song, and I am going to try and finish before the weekend cuz Id really like it to go on the album. Its Called Treehouse Chapter. Its about my Mom and her Grandmother. and me. Im praying it will come together. Ive never really done that with a song, but i need help to finish it in time.
