Last Week I took 3rd at the Southern Utah Songwriters Best Of Open Mic Competition.
It was awesome.
the Judges were from the Eric Dodge Band. They played some songs for us and were amazing.
Eric has some great songs that are patriotic and beautiful.
He will be playing at St. George City First Night Celebration. Definitely dont want to miss it!
The group who took first was called Inverted. My high school friend Phil is the beatboxer for this a capella group and he and they are incredible.
The Other Finalist were top dog musicians and I feel so fortunate to have placed.
I won some cool shiz too. including a a featured performance in the SUSWA line-up sometime next year. and now I am an official SUSWA member. this is a really big deal to me. cuz I have wanted to join for a really long time but my slackerishness always got the better of me...

and THANKS DAN BUYS! he is the coolest bass playa in town. and even though we never practice it sounds SOOO GOOD!
