not as *coo as a bottle of poo

last week, my man shopped for me. and got us a new shampoo. its herbal essences DRAMA CLEAN. I like the smell, its soapy. what I didnt like was the instructions on the back. they are weird. this is what it says:

'Add some punch to blue jeans and flats with a sequined top. Find more dramatic ideas on Drama Clean conditioner. rinse, repeat the cleaning lather. Are you feeling light headed yet?'

kinda different than the usual wash, rinse, repeat if desired. I was confused why my shampoo was telling me about this outfit. I think sequins are stupid.[on me] and I started thinking about how everything seems to have to communicate in a whole new way. I guess this ad on my poo bottle was supposed to be entertaining and I would giggle and think, 'Oh drama clean, you are so cute. I will continue to buy you because of your wit and fashion expertise.'

well.the cute little green bottle was just trying to sell itself. and i am giving it a whole lot of crap. Its just silly marketing.
Marketing is challenging, I am kinda trying to figure out how to do it for myself, and i hate it.

Recently, I have applied for a few exciting opportunities which require a BIO.
and I just cant seem to do one. I feel funny talking about myself and trying to make myself seem cooler than I am. I cant help that when describing myself, chips and salsa is all that comes to mind. I know its not really bio material...but i struggle. and I really really love chips and salsa.

So I need some help? I am trying to put together a little bio for my website and to use for future applications but what should it include? Sometimes Bios can be sooo long and too extensive? where should I begin? birth? grade school? highschool? yesterday? I just dont think people will really care. What are your thoughts?
I have won some pretty cool contests and stuff but I want people to care more about the music than the contests. I dont know. Im thinking way too much about it, I guess. I leave you now with a photo of me singing at the st. george arts festival. It was an amazingly fun event. I just wish I would have washed my hair with my drama clean before hand...im looking greasygreaser. Thanks Maddy [who commented on the last post], and everyone else who came to the festival. I had a great time!

Before I'm Old.

Sometimes when I find out about a new band or singer, I google them to see how old they are. If I find out that they are older than 30 and are just breaking out into the world, I feel very excited for them and It helps me not feel so old.

Sometimes its hard to not say yes to every musical opportunity that comes my way. I want to do everything but I have other priorities, that are much cuter...and much more important. and sadly, that makes me feel old.

Last night I felt a hint of a tug of war between my stay at home heart and my musical soul that wants to sing every chance it gets. I wanted to go play music at a local event, I had laundry to do, dinner to clean up, and I couldn't find a babysitter cuz Jon Butler had night class. I don't think I was acting sad but my three year old came and held my hand and asked me 'Why are you sad?' He could tell that I was thinking. and he reminded of this AMAZING SONG by Fictionist.

Max, I wasn't sad. You made me so so happy.
I have Tiny Hands that I get to hold. and they are what this life is about. I wouldn't know true happiness with out them.

A little more about Fictionist.
They need our help.
and since I know that You guys are super friendly and caring and giving of your time and internet energy,
I thought I would make this to also help them out! They need votes to get on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine. and turns out they are having a contest too, isn't that just the *Cats Pajamas!
*[this is old person lingo for freakin sweet!]

[and to be completely honest, i didnt know about the contest till after I made this Vid. so hopefully Karma will kick in...]

If you love this song as much as me, go to here and download it for free. but be sure to Help Fictionist out by giving them a healthy-5-star rating.

* To feel extra young and chipper, you could join their street team for your town. I joined their St. George Street team and passed out a million flyers for their last show. I swear it added pep to my step and reduced grey hairs and wrinkles better than a Jack Lalanne power juicer!

The next round ends today so VOTE VOTE VOTE!!
